The Beautiful Bouquet Duck arrives with a proper bunch. The Mouse with Pansy carries a single flower nearly as big as she is, and costs £13.99.

They are needle-felted by hand from organic wool sourced from Tibet and New Zealand, designed in Faringdon, Oxfordshire by Sonia Spencer, and made by skilled craftswomen in Kathmandu, Nepal and Jaipur, India. Each stands roughly 12cm tall and comes in a gift box.

People send these for the reasons they'd send flowers — birthdays, Mother's Day, thank yous, sympathy, get-well — and then find the recipient still has it years later. A bouquet that doesn't need water, doesn't need a vase, and doesn't need throwing away on a Tuesday.

Indefinitely, with reasonable care. Spot clean with a soft cloth dampened with cool water. It is felted wool, not a cut stem.
